What have I done for my Employee’s Lately?
Today, I had the thought of what have I done for my employee's lately. Not sure who coined this but it was said "Take care of your employee's well and they will take care of your customers". How true this is.
Then I thought, I brought in a chair massage person in the past. I sent them cupcakes (delivered) when I was out-of-town at an insurance conference. We took off one afternoon and went to the movies. But what have I done lately.....very little is the answer!
“Success is not how high you have climbed, but how you make a positive difference to the world.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
Then I started to brain sprint - have a really nice, high-end lunch brought in (not pizza!), bring back a massage day in the office, have them go volunteer for 1/2 a day at their favorite charity. Maybe all go at lunchtime and work in a soup kitchen. Give them each $100, leave at 3:00 and have them shop with the $100 - come back the next day and show us what you bought.
A few years ago, I gave them a cash Christmas gift surprise and an extra $20, to give away to a stranger. They had to come back and say what happened with the $20, who received it and why? Great stories.
What examples do you have? What idea's can you come up with for your employees? I would love to hear your feedback, your experience, your thoughts.
Insurance Question - What does Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) cover?
Answer - 1. Wrongful Termination
A small marketing agency terminated an employee due to poor performance. The employee filed a lawsuit claiming that the termination was actually due to discrimination based on their age, alleging that younger employees were given more opportunities and better evaluations.
