Insurance Question - What does comprehensive coverage on an auto insurance policy? Does it cover theft of personal property in your vehicle such as a laptop?
Answer - No it does not. Comprehensive auto insurance is for fire, theft, glass or collision with an animal. Your personal property, like a laptop, is a homeowner or renters insurance claim. Just because it is in your car, is not car insurance but personal property loss.
